Elko County Board of Trustees
Notice is hereby given that there is a vacancy in the District #1 seat on the Elko County
School Board of Trustees.
The Board is seeking applications from qualified persons who are interested in being appointed
to the School Board from District #1 which includes Precincts 3, 5, 6, 7, and 12.
Per N.R.S. 386.270, any vacancy occurring in a Board of Trustees shall be filled by appointment
by the remaining members of such board at a public meeting. Any person selected shall serve
until the next general election, at which time the person must compete and be elected.

A person interested in being appointed must be a qualified elector, have the
qualifications needed to serve, and reside in District #1.

How to Apply:

Interested persons must submit a letter explaining their interest in serving
on the Board and a resume of their qualifications and background. Letters
of interest and resumes must be addressed to the Board President, Elko
County School District, P.O. Box 1012, Elko, Nevada 89803.
Letters must be received no later than 4:00 pm., Friday, September 22, 2017.

Appointment Process: (1)

All applications received by 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 22,
2017 will be submitted to the Board of Trustees during the
September 26, 2017 Board of Trustees meeting.


Following a review of the applications received, the Board
of Trustees will interview final qualified applicants on
September 26, 2017 and make an appointment to fill the
vacancy. Appointment will be for:

The period from October, 2017 through December, 2018.
