The Gardner/Gunter family was honored for their service and commitment to the Chamber. This family has given back to the community and specifically supported local business owners along the way, not only through their own family owned companies but also as leaders with the Chamber Board. D Ray Gardner served as Chairman of the Board in 1977 & 1978, his son, Paul Gardner in 2002, and grandson, Tyler Gunter in 2017. Tyler has given almost ten years of service and leadership to the Chamber.
To add to family tradition, D Ray’s daughter Laura Gunter committed several years to the Chamber as the front office coordinator and bookkeeper, and Tyler’s wife Tamra also worked at the Chamber before attending college. Thank you to these individuals who have committed so much to the service of not only the Elko Area Chamber, but also the City of Elko and have continued the family tradition of giving back.
The Chamber would not be able to provide such high-quality events to our community without the support of our members. Thank you to Plumbline Inc., Kinross Bald Mountain, Elko Sanitation, Newmont Mining Corp. and Elko Veterinary Clinic for sponsoring our event.
Thank you to Karen Rogers and the Elko High School Choraliers, High Desert Dance Company, Ghost Light Productions and Straight to Eden for your outstanding performances, Sandy Beeler and Delmo Andreozzi for entertaining us, Great Basin College for the use of your facility and Dreez for the amazing food.
