ELKO — The Elko Chamber of Commerce welcomed its 700th member Thursday at Business After Hours. Co-owners Cheryl Grady and April Dullum of Cool Beans coffee house were recognized as the chamber’s latest member.
“It’s nice to be a member of the business community,” Dullum said.
Both were equally excited to begin business Friday. The business is open seven days a week, opening at 4 a.m. on weekdays.
“We had a goal to have 700 members by the end of 2012,” said Chamber Membership Director Faith Lersey.
Lersey was excited to have reached that goal by June.
Cool Beans is located at the old ice cream parlor next to Cimarron West.
“It’s just gonna be a fun place to hang out,” Grady said.
