ELKO – Worline Insurance has received gold status for the 2017 Readers’ Choice awards. The agency has been in business under Worline tutelage in the Elko area for 25 years.

Cortney Worline is a third-generation businessman using the same office his father and grandfather used before him. His grandfather was in real estate, and his father ran Farmers Insurance. Worline started working in the office when he was 19 years old.

“Thank you, ultimately, to the people who voted for us,” Worline said. “We are fortunate to have such a great customer base.”

Worline acknowledged that his hardworking employees contribute greatly to the success of the company.

“I attribute a large amount of this to the staff,” he said. “With every situation we encounter, we put ourselves in the client’s place.”

Worline said that his insurance business, which offers Farmers Insurance policies and more, has received either gold or silver status each year since the newspaper’s inception of the Readers’ Choice awards.

Besides running a business, Worline supports the community that supports him. The company will again be sponsoring the “Suits for Soldiers” clothing drive this fall. The program was started within the Farmers Insurance industry, and Worline plans to continue the effort. Last season, there was a great deal of support and Worline was able to collect and donate workday attire for veterans going to new interviews.

“We also like to do spur-of-the-moment community outreach,” Worline said. “We watch out for families in need.”

Although Worline is the front man in the business, said he considers his wife and business co-owner, Anita Worline, to be the backbone of the business.
