Julie passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 16, 2018. She was born on January 26, 1938 to Charles and Dorothy Maslowski in Forsyth, Montana. She was the 2nd eldest of 6 children.
Julie grew up in Colstrip, Montana. She later moved to Battle Mountain, Nevada with her 3 children. She met and married former Lander County Sheriff George E Schwin who has since passed. Julie worked and retired from Battle Mountain Gold Company formerly known as Duval Corporation. Julie was hired as a receptionist on March 1, 1967. She was the first woman to work for Duval Corporation. She was known as the ‘Queen of the Mountain’.
Julie lived a graceful life with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, doing crossword puzzles and playing the piano. She was a loving caring person to all. She had the warmest smile and laugh. She will be dearly missed.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents, her 3 sisters- Frances Green, Cara Maslowski, Marla Hugh and brother Charles Maslowski also grandson Cameron Colt Wilkie.
Julie is survived by her 3 children-Terry Tobel, Crystal (Mark) Wilkie, Lori Maslowski, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Julie’s final resting place will be in Forsyth, Montana with a graveside service for family at a later date.
