ELKO — Riverton and The Star Hotel are presenting the Riverton Home Town Hero Award every week for the football and basketball seasons. During halftime they recognize someone in the community for going above and beyond what is asked of them, presenting a $100 check to the organization of the recipient’s choice, and a $100 gift card to The Star Hotel.

Last week’s recipient was Brady Brunson. Brady is married to Michele. They have two boys, Colten and Chris who is a senior at Spring Creek High School. Brady works at Nevada Energy.

Brady coaches or has coached JV baseball, Ruby Mountain Little League and Ruby Mountain Wrestling. He helped establish Ruby Mountain Little League. Brady has helped Spring Creek in a number of different ways, from hang banners to working on the batting cages. He enjoys his extra time hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

The Elko and Spring Creek community has benefited greatly by Brady’s generosity and Riverton thanked him for all he has done to help make the Elko and Spring Creek communities great!
