CARSON CITY (AP) — Hot temperatures didn’t deter a handful of protesters in Nevada who voiced concerns over government snooping and individual privacy.
Three people staged a mini demonstration in Las Vegas, while a handful protested in front of the state Capitol in Carson City. In Las Vegas, organizer Daniel Hill said his goal was to educate people about government “spying” on personal data.
The 31-year-old who works in the computer software industry says it’s no secret data collection has been going on for some time. But Hill said knowing that it’s being conducted by the federal government is disturbing.
