ELKO – The Bureau of Land Management Elko District Office is hosting an open house for local vendors to support the upcoming fire season.

The meeting will be from 2-4:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Elko District Office, Main Conference Room, 3900 E. Idaho St.

“This open house will allow local vendors an opportunity to meet with our purchasing agents and receive details on how they can provide services during fire season,” said Mike Ford, fire management officer. “We are looking for lodging, food, tire shops, mobile mechanics, dumpster services and more.”

BLM and United States Forest Service personnel will be on hand to answer questions and get vendors set up to provide support through government purchasing systems.
