Jan. 31

Zachariah William Anderson, 30, of Elko was sentenced by acting Municipal Court Judge Patricia L. Calton to serve two days in Elko County Jail with credit for nine hours served, complete DUI school, attend a victim-impact panel, and to pay $697 after being found guilty of DUI.

Feb. 14

Patrick Allen Grant, 36, of Elko was sentenced by acting Municipal Court Judge Patricia L. Calton to serve 2 days in Elko County Jail with credit for 11 hours served, complete DUI school, attend a victim-impact panel, install an ignition interlocking device and to pay $841 after being found guilty of DUI, turning without a signal, failure to maintain in the travel lane, and playing excessively loud music.

Justice Court

Dec. 15

Kelly Norman, 36, of Sandy, Utah, was bound over to district court by Elko Justice of the Peace Al Kacin to face charges of two counts uttering a forged instrument, burglary and destroying or concealing evidence.  

Feb. 8

Jake Clay Rowe, 37, of Carlin was sentenced by Elko Justice of the Peace Barbara Nethery to serve 60 days in Elko County Jail, suspended one year on condition of serving five days in Elko County Jail with credit for 11 hours served, attending AA meetings, completing DUI school, attending a victim-impact panel, abstaining from alcohol for one year, receiving no new charges, and to pay $897 after being found guilty of DUI.

Feb. 16

Donald Ray Rosenauer, 24, of Elko was sentenced by Elko Justice of the Peace Barbara Nethery to serve 10 days in Elko County Jail with credit for 10 days served, complete domestic violence  counseling, complete 100 hours of community service, and to pay $472 after being found guilty of second-offense domestic battery.

Robert Lloyd Brewer, 41, of Spring Creek was sentenced by Elko Justice of the Peace Barbara Nethery to serve 10 days in Elko County Jail, suspended one year on condition of serving two days in Elko County Jail with credit for 10.5 hours served, attending DUI counseling, completing DUI school, attending a victim-impact panel, installing an ignition interlock device, receiving no new charges, and to pay $697 after being found guilty of DUI.

Feb. 23

Joshua Oryan Gardner, 24, of Newark, Calif., was bound over to district court by Elko Justice of the Peace Barbara Nethery to face charges of transferring a controlled or counterfeit substance, possession of a controlled substance not for the purpose of sale and conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substance Act.

Feb. 24

Kevin Roy Ahrens, 45, transient was bound over to district court by Elko Justice of the Peace Barbara Nethery to face charges of two counts burglary.

Feb. 28

Trudy Ann Johnson, 42, of Carlin was bound over to district court by Elko Justice of the Peace Barbara Nethery to face eight charges of forgery or uttering a fictitious bill.

Mikel Rory Gonzales, 27, of West Wendover and Jennifer Lynn Chaplin, 30, of West Wendover were bound over to district court by Elko Justice of the Peace Barbara Nethery to face charges of uttering forged instruments, burglary, conspiracy to utter forged instruments, and conspiracy to commit burglary.

District Court

Feb. 3

Jonathan Beecher, 35, of Ogden, Utah, was sentenced by District Court Judge Al Kacin to serve 34 months in prison with a minimum parole eligibility after 12 months, and credit for 121 days served and to pay $150 after being found guilty of attempted theft.

Brian Hughes, 41, of Mountain View, Wyo., was sentenced by District Court Judge Al Kacin to serve 48 months in prison with a minimum parole eligibility after 19 months and credit for 65 days served and to pay $150 after being found guilty of attempted grand larceny.
