ELKO -- An Elko man was arrested after showing up at the address of a person he had reportedly been stalking and allegedly slashing the tires of cars in the area. 

According to police, Brant Matticks had been harassing an individual and made threats to cause that person harm. 

Matticks made his way to an Ash Street address and slashed the tires of seven vehicle in that area, police said. 

Police estimate the cost to replace the tires to be about $5,000.

The suspect was found early Friday morning at 950 Metzler Road and charged with aggravated stalking, defacing property and possession of a controlled substance.

His bail was set at $25,000.
