ELKO – An Elko man accused of stealing a newspaper delivery van in January was arrested Monday night on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court.
Roland R. Reynolds, 46, of Elko faces charges of robbery and grand larceny stemming from his alleged theft of a Times-News van at the Ryndon Country Store that was loaded with Elko Daily Free Press newspapers in the early morning hours of Jan. 26.
He was released on bail after his arrest in January and was issued a summons to appear in Elko Justice Court for a preliminary hearing on two charges of robbery and grand larceny.
Reynolds did not appear for hearings set in March and April, so a bench warrant was issued, said court administrator Randall Soderquist.
Reynolds, who is now being held in Elko County Jail on $30,000 bail, is expected to apply for counsel and receive a date for a preliminary hearing, said Soderquist.
