ELKO – An Elko woman was jailed on $40,000 bail after being charged with taking two bottles of whisky from Khoury’s Market.
Paula M. Ferrall, 53, entered the store at 568 West Spring Valley Court on the afternoon of Oct. 27, according to court records.
The sales clerk reported seeing a woman grab a box of Crown Royal, remove a single bottle from the box, place it into her purse, and replace the box on the shelf. She then walked out to her car.
The same thing happened the following evening, and the woman was later identified on surveillance footage as Ferrall, court records say.
She was arrested Friday on a warrant charging two counts of burglary.
The bottles were valued at $75.99 each.
