ELKO – An Elko man has been arrested after being accused in January of starting an altercation with his father after discussion about his drug use.
Officers called to a residence on a domestic situation on Jan. 7 were met at the door by a man with visible facial injuries and blood on his body. He told officers that he had asked his son to leave the house as they began fighting over the son’s drug use. The injured man stated that he was defending himself. A roommate confirmed the story.
“The assailant aggressively pursued the victim on two separate occasions prior to leaving the residence,” said the roommate.
According to the report, the son fled the scene as the father was calling dispatch.
Blood stains were located in the hallway, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
Cody G. Carroll, 25, Elko was arrested April 5 on a felony warrant for battery and conspiracy to commit criminal contempt.
Bail was listed at $22,500.
