ELKO – A Spring Creek man suspected of being intoxicated spit in an officer’s face while being arrested early Saturday morning, according to police.
Authorities saw Armando Quesada-Trujillo at 2 a.m. Saturday in front of Cowboys Bar while he was being removed from the establishment. He was walking backwards into the street, recording the incident on his phone and yelling into it, said Elko Police Lt. Ty Trouten.
The suspect tried to break away when the officer attempted to take him into custody, according to Trouten.
Quesada-Trujillo allegedly then kicked an officer and spit in another officer’s face, added Trouten.
The suspect was charged with battery on an officer, an unlawful act related to human bodily fluid, resisting a public officer, and as an intoxicated pedestrian on the road. His bail was set at $23,755.
