ELKO — Police took three reports of stolen vehicles over the weekend in the city, Police Capt. Will Lehmann said.

One of the vehicles was recovered off Manzanita Drive after the suspects got stuck in a mudhole, Lehmann said. Police have a suspect but haven’t found the person yet.

The other two cars are still missing, including one that was taken from the parking lot at the High Desert Inn.

Way too much out of town trash here, what the hell is up with Elko? If you out of town trash want to turn this town into Las Vegas, go there and trash that dump even more, but stay out of Elko already !

Really? Because I seem to read an awful lot of "local" names in the police blotter on a regular basis. Trash is trash; it comes from, lives in, and migrates everywhere. Not all who are local to/homegrown in Elko are saints.

Mine trash is what elko people call the people who can and want to work a good job. When you have worked everywhere in town, and can't get a job with the mines, you call the people who do, mine trash. When you work a minimum wage job because you can't pass a drug test, its easier to call people names than improve your own life. Mine trash and PROUD.
