ELKO — Police arrested two men early Saturday morning behind the JC Penney store when an officer saw stolen goods in the back of their car, said Elko Police Lt. Ty Trouten.

Officers saw Timothy L. Davis, 25, and Zackery S. Morse, 25, walking around businesses that were closed and approached their open-top Suzuki where there was a generator, first aid kit and other items on the seat, Trouten said.

Those same items had been reported stolen from a travel trailer in Elko earlier in the weekend, Trouten said.

Davis and Morse were both arrested on multiple charges and were being held at the Elko County Jail.
