As you may know, this past spring parts of Northern Nevada and Elko County had major flooding. My house was one of the affected within the Elko area.
I have spent over 30 years of my life in this house and it was a great tragedy to be within the possible realm of losing it. The time spent away was very stressful, all I wanted was to be within the comfort of my own home.
After thinking that it may not be possible to move back in, a group of heroes came to my aid. They cleaned out my entire flooded basement, debris and all. They came willing to help and did not ask for anything of mine in return.
I never had the chance to meet these kind-hearted people, but I found it proper that I must thank them. To whomever you are, just know that you didn't just save a house, you saved a home full of lots of love, many laughs, occasional tears, and a 93-year old’s lifetime of memories.
God bless you all and thank you for making it possible for me to return home.
