On November 6 of this year, I had a total knee replacement of my right knee, and I would like to take this time to thank all the institutions and people involved in the entire process of replacing the knee and the time and therapy involved in getting back into shape afterwards.

I thank Dr. Phipps and his staff and assisting team members involved in the surgery and replacement of the knee. All the nursing staff of Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital for their support and assistance directly after surgery. The staff, therapy personnel, residents, office staff, certified nursing assistants, and everybody at the Highland Manor for their assistance, support, and encouragement during my stay there.

I went to the Manor because I didn’t have anyone at home to take care of me during my recovery. I was worried (and scared) about my knee replacement, recovery and my stay at the Manor. I had never needed to depend upon outside assistance before, so this was a new experience for me.

I must admit that I was very surprised at all the support and assistance they offered. They answered my questions and encouraged me every step of the way. This was the biggest personal challenge of my life to date and I certainly believe I could not have made such a quick and complete recovery without these people.

I had one problem while I was at the Manor and it was handled in a very professional, prompt, efficient, and discreet manner to both my satisfaction and theirs.

I would certainly advise anyone having this type of surgery to seriously consider using these facilities.

To all the staff, employees, residents and volunteers, l THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH. You not only became my family and support team, but you are my HEROES!

May the Good Lord Bless and Keep Thee always.
