CITY OF WELLS WELLS SENIOR CENTER CONSTRUCTION ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Separate sealed BIDS for the WELLS SENIOR CENTER CONSTRUCTION located at the Tobar St, in Wells, Nevada, consisting of, but not limited to, footings, foundation, building and finishes and other related work will be received by the Owner at the office of the City Clerk, located at Wells City Hall, P.O. Box 366, 525 6th Street, Wells, Nevada 89835, until 1:00 o'clock p.m., prevailing local time, March 30, 2021 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The Contract Documents, Plans, and Exhibits are available for viewing at the following: Wells City Hall, 525 6th Street, Wells, Nevada 89835 Copies may be obtained at the City of Wells 525 Sixth Street, Wells, NV 89835, upon payment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00), non-refundable, for each set or are available online cityofwellsnv.com. Payment is to be made to the City of Wells. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The award of the contract is subject to approval of the CDBG and availability of federal funding. Each Bidder must supply all the information required by the Bid Documents and Specifications. In determining the lowest responsive bid, the Owner will consider all acceptable bids on a basis consistent with the Contract Documents. The Owner will also consider whether the bidder is a responsible bidder. Before a contract will be awarded for work contemplated herein, the Owner will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low bidder to perform the size and type of work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the Owner to evaluate the bidder's qualifications. All bids must be signed and accompanied by evidence of authority to sign. Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cashiers check or cash in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid security shall be forfeited to City of Wells, as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Wells reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the City of Wells.
