Blanket donation supports victims of domestic abuse The Newmont Nevada Legacy Fund team recently got together to create a bundle of huggable, cozy blankets to help bring comfort and joy this holiday season to the victims of domestic abuse in our communities. The warm, fuzzy blankets were distributed throughout our northern Nevada communities just in time for Christmas! 2019 Legacy Fund Results are in! The 2019 Legacy Fund Campaign has concluded with an unbelievable $2.7 million pledged to our local Nevada communities. Donations from over 72% of our Newmont Nevada employees resulted in $1.34 million, combined with Newmont's dollar-for-dollar match for the grand total to be distributed to area nonprofits next year. Manor store donations help motivate residents Newmont Accounting and Payroll departments recently teamed up to participate in a community service project where they donated items to the Highland Village of Elko for the facility's on-site store. As a way to motivate the residents to participate in daily activities, the Highland Village created the “Manor Store” and for every activity the residents attend they earn “Manor Bucks” that they can use to purchase items at the store.
