Coldwell Banker Algerio/Q-Team wins gold

Coldwell Banker Algerio/Q-Team Realty is this year’s gold winner for Best Real Estate Company, an honor the team has received each year since the start of Readers’ Choice in 2011.

ELKO — Coldwell Banker Algerio/Q-Team Realty won the gold Readers' Choice Award for best real estate company — again. The company has been the first-place choice every year since 2011.

“I know we have been very fortunate and grateful for several years,” said James Winer, who has been the company’s owner since 2002. “Our agents care for their clients and go the extra mile, above and beyond.”

Winer started working with the Nannini family at their real estate office in Elko in 1991, and he was with them when they acquired Rhonda Realty. When Winer acquired the real estate business from the Nannini family 11 years later, the office was next to Stewart Title on Idaho Street. He said he bought the building on Idaho Street in 2006. Then, he acquired Algerio Realtors in 2009 and merged that business into his.

Coldwell Banker Algerio/Q-Team Realty grew enough to open a second office in Spring Creek in 2011, leasing a site from Khoury's Market until buying a building on Tonka Lane that had been moved from Elko in about 1971.

“We bought it and totally restored it,” Winer said, adding that the goal was returning the building to how it looked 100 years ago.

Coldwell Banker Algerio/Q-Team Realty moved into the remodeled building in 2013.

Three staffers and 21 agents work from the Elko office and two staffers and seven agents are based at the Spring Creek site.

“We do residential sales and commercial sales and leasing,” he said. “We also do land sales and new subdivisions.”

The team’s reach includes Lamoille, Spring Creek, Elko, Carlin, Wells and Jackpot.

Winer’s agency is part of the Coldwell Banker franchise, a worldwide network.
