Amada Flores Saldaña, of Guadalajarita, Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico, died peacefully on January 21, 2018, in Elko, NV. She was born on September 16, 1923 in San Pedro Ocotlan, Zacatecas, Mexico. She married Manuel Saldaña and went on to have twelve beautiful children with him. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and listening to music. She met all of the challenges of life with great courage, strength and grace. She had an amazing sense of humor that she retained until the end. She was truly one of a kind. Her ability to make all of her family and friends feel special and loved will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Enrique Saldaña, Adrian Saldaña (Eva), Silvano Saldaña (Hortencia), Toni Ramirez (Lucio), Evelia Saldaña (Rene), Esther Gonzalez (Oscar) and Luz Maria Vazquez (Felipe) as well as many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel, her daughters Carmen, Conchita, and Maria, her sons Pablo and Cruz, her granddaughter Marissa Saldaña and her mother and father.
A memorial service and rosary will be held on January 26, 2018 at 6pm in Mater Dei Hall at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, all are welcome to attend. The family asks that attendees wear white or light pink in lieu of black.
