Charlene Joy Thornton passed away from natural causes at the age of 85 on December 9, 2017 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born to James Lecuse and Blanche Farley.
Charlene was raised in Ogden, Utah and attended Ogden City schools. She married Jay R. Thornton on May 29, 1949. Jay and Charlene had five wonderful children. She was a homemaker her whole life and raised their five children. Jay and Charlene moved to wells, Nevada in 1973 and bought the welcome campground. Five years later they sold the campground and moved into the city limits of Wells. They built an antique store in Wells and dealt in antiques the rest of their days.
Charlene is survived by her daughters, Susan Smith and Jean (Robert) Supp; Son Dan (Jennifer) Thornton; granddaughters, Rebecca (Luis) Soto, Jennifer (Jon) Henry, and Kierstyn Howard; Sister Irene Davis; brother Alan Anderson; brother-in –law Neil (Carolyn) Thornton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jay R. Thornton, her parents, and two daughters Rebecca and Debra.
A graveside service will be held at a later date and time.
We will greatly miss her!
