June 3, 1935—October 1, 2018
June, 83, of Elko, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018 surrounded by family.
June was born June 3, 1935, in Jester, OK. She was raised, went to school in Hereford, TX. It was in Hereford where she met and married her love, Raymond Floyd Cummings on April 4, 1951. Soon after, the couple moved to New Mexico and made their home for a few years. She was a homemaker and then also worked in various jobs throughout her lifetime. June enjoyed waitressing, and her work as a surveyor/prober for the mines in Wyoming. June and Ray moved to Bishop, CA and spent many years there working in management. Deciding to retire, they moved to Pahrump, Nevada where they enjoyed gardening alongside each other. Many fresh artichokes were taken from their garden. June loved country music, and would sing Alto to all the songs while being accompanied by Raymond who sang bass. She loved watching Reba on TV, QVC shopping, and above all, June cherished spending endless hours visiting with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. No one ever went hungry in the household as June loved cooking for her family.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Floyd Cummings; mother and stepfather, Hazel and Clarence Botts; two brothers, Melvin Shaw and Donald Shaw. She is survived by five children; daughter, Debbie (Dave) Timbrel of Battle Mountain, Nevada; son, Terry (Coy) Cummings of Elko, Nevada; daughter, Deana Cleveland of Spring Creek, Nevada; son, Tracy (Audrey) Cummings of Elko, Nevada; daughter, Darla Cauley (Ed Lazzari) of Bedford, New Hampshire, as well as, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
June was loved by all who knew her, will be missed terribly, will remain in our hearts forever.
