July 12, 1939 – November 2, 2018
On November 2, 2018 we lost our hero to the 15 year battle against cancer. William Eugene Bogue was born in Salem, Iowa to Eldora M. Eiler and Clarence E. Bogue. He attended local Elko schools from the age of 9.
William was a diligent worker at Slim Olson's prior to serving in the U.S. Army for three years. After being honorably discharged, William joined the Elko Police Department where he spent 25 years, retiring as the Chief of Police.
William was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother. He is survived by his sister, Mary A. Pera; brother, Max L. Bogue; sister-in-law, Mildred L. Bogue; son, Mark E. Bogue; daughter, Pam K. Jones; granddaughters, Brooklyn T. Bogue, Zoey A. Bogue and Mazey B. Bogue.
Thank you to the following for your loving care: Huntsman Cancer Hospital, Salt Lake City, UT; Elko's class of 57'; and a special thank you to close friends, family and coffee buddies for helping us cope with this heartbreaking loss.
I keeping with Williams wishes, he was cremated. A service will be held on Sunday, November 18, at the VFW Hall at 11:00a.m.
