CARSON CITY — Nevada Health Centers is thanking Newmont Mining Corp. and its employees who support NVHC through the Newmont Legacy Fund.

Receiving these funds is a special honor as they come directly from Newmont employee contributions with a 100 percent dollar-for-dollar match by Newmont.

“We are very grateful to be selected as the recipient to receive these funds which will be used to provide medical, dental care and mammography services throughout northern Nevada,” said Carrie Tallman of Nevada Health Centers.

Newmont Mining Corp. has operations around the world, including locations in Nevada from near Wendover to Winnemucca. The company’s corporate office is located in Denver.

Globally, Newmont employs abpit 20,000 people – approximately 3,800 of them in Nevada operations. An impressive 70-plus percent of those employees have participated in its Legacy Fund for the past five years.

“NVHC is especially proud to be designated by employees to receive Newmont Legacy Fund contributions, which will be used to improve healthcare in the communities in which they live,” Tallman said. “We sincerely thank participating employees for helping NVHC make a healthy impact in the communities we serve.
