SPRING CREEK – Two events kick off the summer in Spring Creek this weekend: a property owner meeting and family activity.
The Spring Creek Association annual property owners meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. June 16 with a barbecue followed by the audit and financial reports and a presentation by Jessie Bahr, president and general manager.
Tract representatives on the board of directors Jim Jefferies, Paddy Legarza, Josh Park and Pat Plaster will be available for questions from residents, as will At-Large directors Tom Hannum, Molly Popp and Jake Reed.
On Saturday evening after the annual meeting, the first Movie at the Marina will feature “Despicable Me 3” starting at dusk and sponsored by Marina Hills Dental. Admission is free.
“There will be candy, popcorn and sodas available and Las Brisas food truck will be there,” said Bahr.
All of Elko/Spring Creek is invited, Bahr added.
“You can bring lawn chairs or blankets,” she said. “Those in chairs will sit behind those on blankets.”
The activities are the first two events planned in Spring Creek this summer, with two more movie nights and two concert nights planned at the Marina.
The Fourth of July Freedom Festival sponsored by the Khourys family is now accepting applications for vendors and parade floats.
The all-day event starts with a flag-raising ceremony and includes a 5K, pancake breakfast, mud volleyball, games, and concludes with the Lake of Fire fireworks show.
