ELKO — The Joy Global Foundation, in partnership with Komatsu Mining Corp., has shown its commitment to supporting organizations that serve the local communities in which its employees live, work and play by making a $10,000 contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elko.

“We’re very excited that the Komatsu organization has kept our partnership with the Elko Boys & Girls Clubs alive through the Joy Global Foundation,” said Jason Ashby, general sales manager – mining, Komatsu. “It’s a really great cause that provides after-school and summer programs to more than 300 local kids per day. I cannot stress enough how important it is to get behind organizations like this that make such a meaningful impact in our communities.”

With one of the top daily attendances in the United States, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elko provides programs that help foster a sense of belonging, personal empowerment, achievement and self-confidence among children while equipping them with the skills they will need to become successful adults.
