ELKO – A court date has been set for a Wells teacher accused of inappropriate conduct with two high school students.
Tennille Whitaker, 40, is scheduled to appear Sept. 11 in Elko Justice Court for a preliminary hearing.
Whitaker was arrested last week on eight counts of sexual conduct with a pupil. The alleged victims were two Wells High School students between the ages of 16 and 18, according to information provided by Undersheriff Ron Supp.
A criminal complaint has yet to be filed in justice court.
Whitaker was released from custody the day following her arrest on $160,000 bail.
