ELKO – A Florida woman allegedly attempted to rob Dos Amigos after breaking a glass bottle to threaten employees and customers.
Fancilee Yount, 28, of Orlando was arrested at the restaurant by police on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and attempted armed robbery.
Police Chief Ben Reed said its unclear why Yount entered the restaurant but she was detained by two customers until police arrived at the scene.
"She was acting bizarre and yelling," he said. "Customers called 911, we were en route and a number of customers fled out the exit. At some point Yount tried to leave and a couple of male customers tackled her, got the broken beer bottle away from her and held her on the ground as officers were pulling up."
Reed also mentioned that Yount appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
Yount was not cooperative when police attempted to take her into custody and was also charged with resisting an officer.
Yount was also arrested earlier this month for second offense domestic battery, according to Free Press files.
Reed said he was thankful that citizens helped deescalate an unsafe situation.
"It was a dangerous situation but it ended as best as it could," he said. "We have the names of our two helpers and we're really appreciative of the effort they made to detain Yount."
Her bail on Sunday’s charges was set at $74,780.
