July 9, 1961 – February 3, 2019
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Deborah Ann Howard, 57, of Spring Creek, NV. She passed away peacefully Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Salt lake City, Utah.
Deborah was born in Mountain Home, Idaho on July 9, 1961 to Norman and Nancy Milne. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend whose memory will forever rest in the hearts of those she touched.
She is survived by her husband, David Howard, of Lompoc, CA; sons, Mike (Molly) Terry of Draper, UT and David Terry and Rance Peralta of South Jordan, UT. Also, her sisters Diana Milne of Spring Creek, NV, Deanna (Tom) Walls of Houston, TX, and her mother Nancy Milne of Spring Creek, NV. Deborah was preceded in death by her son, Daryl Terry and father, Norman Milne.
A memorial Service will be held in Eureka, Utah on Sat. Feb. 9th at the Elk’s Lodge at 1:00pm.

June 7, 1954 – January 26, 2019
Myrna was born on June 7, 1954 to Robert O. and Donna L. Schneider in Spokane, Washington. Myrna passed away on January 26, 2019 after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Myrna married Roger Fisher on February 10, 2001 in Elko, Nevada. They had 18 great years together.
Myrna was preceded in death by her father and mother Robert and Donna Schneider.
Myrna is survived by husband, Roger; son, Kirk (Kim) Rickey; sisters, Sheryl (David) Watson and Darcy Hobbs; brothers, Byron (Ginny) Schneider; Brett (Gina) Schneider, and Brannon (Staci) Schneider; brother and sister-in-law Pat and Marianne Fisher; Ed and Kathy Fisher and Steve and Terri Voorhees. Myrna also let behind her granddaughters Kelbie and Taelar Rickey, several nieces and nephews, also her best friend Debbi Wynn that she knew most of her life.
Myrna worked for the Elko County 4-H program for 11 years; she loved the kids and made life-long friends with a lot of the parents and 4-H kids. Myrna’s passion in life was showing horses, she started showing horses when she was in grade school, in later years she started showing in Reining cow horse classes and ranch cutting classes. She loved riding horses and besides showing horses, she liked going to branding’s or helping move cows, or just going for a ride in the hills.
There is going to be a celebration of life at the Northeastern Nevada Museum on February 9 between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers you can donate to the Guiding Light Hospice or the Elko County 4-H program in c/o Mia Krenka.

June 12, 1945 – February 1, 2019
Mike Barstow passed away on February 1, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Mike was born on June 12, 1945 in Canton, Ohio to Willis “Bill” Barstow and Delcia Johnstone Barstow. In 1955 the Barstow family moved to Palisade, Colorado where Mike’s father worked in an underground coal mine and owned the Blue Flame Coal Mine. The Blue Flame Mine supplied coal to local families in which Mike, during his high school years, drove a one ton pickup delivering coal. He also spent several summers working at the Lindauer Ranch putting up hay in exchange for room and board.
After high school he enrolled in Colorado State College in Greeley, Colorado for a year before enlisting in the Army. His basic training was in Polk, Louisiana and then received advanced training as a chemical staff specialist at Fort McClellan in Alabama. Mike was assigned to the Panama Canal Zone tropic test center to study the effects of the tropic environment on different components and on nerve agents. (Vietnam was active engagement at this time). Mike received additional training as a civilian explosive specialist handling rocket tests, grenades and explosives. Mike commented that the most important aspect of this work was trying to figure out why the objects did not explode. During his military service in Panama, he met and married Paula Wirtz and had two children; Mike Jr., was born in 1967 and in 1973 Lori Barstow.
Mike moved to Elko, Nevada in 1975 to work for Carlin Gold Mine. He left Carlin Gold after one year to work as Chief Assayer for PanCana Inc. In 1976 Mike married Kathryn and he adopted her son David. He and Kathryn had two girls, Darlene and Megan. After PanCana, Mike started Analytical Services Inc. which operated in Elko for many years. His business was assaying for all the major mining operations at that time.
In 1988 he married Marsha Davis from Elko, Nevada. Mike partnered with his wife, Marsha and opened the Gallery in Lamoille. He refurbished antiques, built custom furniture, and very recently restored a 1930 Model A Fordor Briggs. He retired in 1990 and spent many weekends hunting, fishing, prospecting and wood working.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Davis and their children, David (Alana) Barstow lone, California; Lynn Mychael Barstow, South Fork, Nevada; Darlene Robertson Linden, California; Megan (Sam) Tunnell, Acampo, California; Lori Barstow in Placerville, California; Christopher Davis, San Leandro, California and Talley Davis, Polson, Montana. Mike was the middle child of 5 children: BJ Lindauer (IVO), Parachute, Colorado; Nancy (Hugh) Mallory Strawn, Texas; Susan Barstow, Palisade, Colorado and Cindy Jayne (Robert) Turner , Palisade, Colorado; aunts: Mary Lou Johnstone (Bill) Canton, Ohio and Freda (Mike) Johnstone Canton, Ohio as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on February 9, 2019 Saturday at 10:00 am at the Lamoille School Building in Lamoille, Nevada.

October 4, 1922- February 1, 2019
Heaven received a beautiful angel when our mom passed away on February 1, 2019. Elna was born October 4, 1922 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, to Lemuel M. Adams and Annie Eveson Adams. She married Jack E. Brady on June 10, 1940 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Elna was always ready to help anyone in need, from raising grandkids to letting her family members live with her and Dad.
Our mom held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, from Relief Society President, Primary President and teacher. Elna was the American Business Women’s Associations President and other positions. She worked at Leisure Pool and Spa with her son John for 25 years. Our mom became an American Citizen on August 7, 1953, but always loved her home land of Canada.
Elna is survived by 4 children; Ella Rae (Tom) Edwards, Jo Ann Schuldies, Merrilyn (Lynn) Kirkman, and John (Kim) Brady; 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 28 great great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Eileen, Marion, 1 brother Donald and 2 sister in-laws Renee and Jill. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, daughter Karen, son in-law Doug, 2 grandsons Jimmy, Doug, great granddaughter Jodi, 1 great grandson Chance, 4 brothers Merrill, Allen, Ray and Reid.
Funeral services will be held Thursday February, 7, 2019 at the West Point Lake View Stake Center 855 N. 400 W. at 11:00 AM with a viewing prior at 10:00 AM. There will a viewing held the night before Wednesday, February 6, 2019, 6-8 PM at the same location. Services are under the direction Myers Mortuary Roy, Utah.
