ELKO — The board of directors from the Newmont Legacy Fund visited The Terrace to personally celebrate Valentine’s Day with Elko seniors.

The 2018 pledge check, plus the generous donations received from the Legacy campaign fund since 2011, now total more than $500,000 in gifts to the Elko Senior Activity nutrition programs.

Senior Center director Kerry Aguirre said, “We know that the Newmont employees care for their own grandparents, parents, neighbors and friends through this program. We are so grateful for their support and for the incredible matching donation that Newmont Mining Corporation has committed through the Legacy Fund. We couldn’t do what we do without these caring community partners.”
