ELKO – A new poll of Nevada voters indicates more people support a ballot measure to legalize marijuana than oppose it.
The KTNV-TV 13 Action News/Rasmussen Reports poll of 750 likely voters this week found that 50 percent said they would vote for Question 2, with 41 percent opposed and 9 percent undecided.
That’s down slightly from a 2013 survey by Public Policy Polling, which pegged support in Nevada at 54 percent.
The measure would allow for legalized adult use of marijuana, and for regulated sales. A 15 percent tax would go toward K-12 education.
The Elko Daily Free Press will continue its three-part series on the issue in our next weekend edition.
