ELKO – U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian will be in Elko for a meet and greet Sunday afternoon at 1750 Manzanita Drive.
Tarkanian is planning to challenge U.S. Sen. Dean Heller in the Republican primary. He previously ran for Nevada Senate, Nevada Secretary of State, and both the U.S. House and Senate.
“Sunday Fun-day with the Tark Family” is scheduled from 2-3:30 p.m.
“Mr. Tarkanian will be volunteering his time to educate the voters of Elko on why he will best represent them in the U.S. Senate,” stated the announcement. Food and drink will be provided by the campaign, and a question and answer session will follow his speech.
“It’s time we pass President Trump’s America First Policies and prioritize the care of American citizens” Tarkanian says on his website. “No more foreign nation building. No more bad trade deals that gut our economy. We must secure our borders, stop funding failed programs, and repeal Obamacare.”
Candidates for federal office must file by March 16. The primary election is scheduled June 12.
