JEROME, Idaho - The CSI women's soccer team was held off the scoreboard in what was a defensive battle against Snow College, as they fell 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles came into the game looking for a statement win in conference play as much of the game was very evenly matched. The Golden Eagles outshot the 17th-ranked Badgers by a slim margin of 7-6, each team with two shots on goal. The Badgers were able to take advantage of their pair of shots, as they found the back of the net in the 62nd minute, the lone goal of the game.
It really was a tale of two halves for the Golden Eagles, who did a great job at creating opportunities in the first half, finishing the period with six shots, but only getting one more shot off the duration of the game.
This completes the first round of conference play for the Golden Eagles as they will now gear up for their second match against conference foe Truckee Meadows on Saturday, October 3rd. The Golden Eagles defeated the Lizards 2-1 back on September 5th.
