RENO, Nev. - The 13th-ranked CSI volleyball team capped off a strong weekend on the road, defeating Truckee Meadows 25-17, 21-25, 25-16, 25-12 on Saturday afternoon in Reno.
For the second consecutive game, the Golden Eagles showcased an efficient offensive attack, hitting .466 as a team, including multiple sets hitting at .667 or higher. They also had a very balanced attack across the board with 14 kills in each set except for the third set, where they had 13.
Nana Lobzhanidze led the way with 13 kills, while a balanced attack of Emma Pannell and Laura Grasel each chipped in nine kills apiece. Dalayni Brindley dished out 37 assists, just shy of her season high of 42. The Golden Eagles once again were able to capitalize on their serves, finishing the day with 12 service aces, as Brindley, Vivian Goto, and Isadora Bueno each had a trio of service aces.
The Golden Eagles now sit at 3-1 in Scenic West play and will return home this upcoming weekend for a big weekend, as they face off against nationally ranked Snow College beginning on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
